Uber ties up with Hyundai

*Uber Technologies Inc and automaker Hyundai Motor have teamed up to develop electric air taxis.
*The partnership aims to make small self-flying cars to ease urban congestion.
*the team is heading towards a goal of launching Uber Air by 2023 and urban air mobility service in 2028.
*Hyundai is the first carmaker to join Uber's Air taxi project.

ISRO sets its fourth RAC-S in Karnataka

*ISRO has set up a regional academic center for space at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka(NITK) at Surathkal in Karnataka's southwest Dakshina Kannada district.
*ISRO will provide Rs 2 core grant annually to NIT for the R&D projects and promotional activities through the year.
*An agreement regarding this was signed between ISRO and NITK on 3 Jan 2020.

Smallest galaxies with black holes found

 *Astronomers have discovered some smallest galaxies known to host massive black holes.
*The study published in the Astrophysical Journal found 13 massive black holes, about 4,00,000 times as heavy as the Sun, in dwarf galaxies which are 100 times smaller than our Milky Way.
*These galaxies are situated so far away that light from the Earth would take less than a billion years to reach them.

Lieutenant Shivangi: 1st woman pilot for Navy

*The first woman pilot for Navy Lieutenant Shivangi will join naval operations on completion of operational training on December 2, 2019.
*She hails from Muzzafarpur, Bihar.
*She was inducted into Indian Navy as SSC(Pilot) as part of 27 NOC course in Indian Naval Academy,Ezhimala.

Bhubaneswar to host Hockey Pro League matches

*Bhubaneswar will host India's home matches during the 2020 Hockey Pro League.
*The second edition of the Hockey Pro League will be played between 11th January and 28th of June 2020.
*Bhubaneswar has become a hockey hub in India and has been hosting a majority of tournaments, the most recent being the Olympic qualifiers.

India exports 3.2 million bales of cotton

*India exported 3.2 million bales of cotton during the first quarter of the cotton year that began on October 1.
*It is according to the trade body Cotton Association of India(CAI).
*CAI engaged in providing a wide range of service to the entire cotton value chain since its incorporation in 1921.

Kohli creates new record

*Virat Kohli broke another batting record,as he became the fastest to reach 1000 runs in T20I cricket as captain and only the sixth overall to achieve the feat.
